In this role, you will collaborate closely with licensed occupational therapists to deliver high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing personalized care plans for patients across various settings. Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility, promoting independence and safety. Conduct therapeutic activities designed to improve motor skills, coordination, and functional abilities based on patient needs. Monitor patient progress and document responses to therapy interventions accurately in medical records. Educate patients and their families on exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety measures to support ongoing recovery at home. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including physicians, nurses, and other therapists—to ensure comprehensive patient care. Qualifications Current
CALIFORNIA
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License. Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program. Prior experience working in inpatient hospital units, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics or home health environments is highly preferred, but not required. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and occupational health principles. Experience assisting with ADLs and developing care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach; ability to communicate clearly with patients and families of all backgrounds.
