We're looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join a contract/travel assignment in Santa Clara, CA. This role starts ASAP and runs for 14 weeks, Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Compensation is $1,505 per week for travel assignments (35 hours) or $1,484 per week for local hires (35 hours). What you'll need A valid, active Occupational Therapy Assistant state license. What you'll be doing Work alongside the Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients and identify physical and functional limitations. Help develop personalized treatment plans based on each patient's needs. Lead and carry out therapeutic interventions and activities that improve motor skills, mobility, and independence with daily tasks. Teach patients how to use assistive devices and adaptive equipment safely and effectively. Document patient progress, treatments, and any changes in condition accurately and promptly. Coach patients and their families on at-home exercises and strategies to support recovery. Communicate regularly with the Occupational Therapist and the rest of the care team to ensure coordinated treatment. Follow safety and infection-control protocols to maintain a safe therapy environment. Provide emotional support and encouragement to help patients stay motivated toward their goals.
