About the
Role:
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant , you will play a vital role in helping our residents regain independence and improve their overall well-being. You will work closely with our Occupational Therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on activities that promote rehabilitation, education, and wellness. Your expertise will also help our residents maintain their physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities, enhancing their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Assist Occupational Therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans Conduct occupational therapy assessments and evaluations to identify resident needs and abilities Design and implement therapeutic activities and interventions to promote rehabilitation, education, and wellness Provide resident education and training on daily living skills, adaptive equipment, and therapy techniques Document resident progress and maintain accurate records Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care and support
Requirements:
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or related field preferred Minimum of 0 years of experience in occupational therapy or related field Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to physically assist residents with mobility, transfers, and other activities
