Job Description
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Santa Cruz Post Acute Full-Time • Part-Time • PRN Starting at $45/hour DOE + Benefits Santa Cruz Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic therapy team. We are committed to providing high‑quality, resident‑centered care in a supportive and collaborative skilled nursing environment. Full‑time, part‑time, and PRN schedules are available. Position Summary The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant works under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services that help residents improve functional abilities, independence, and quality of life. Responsibilities Provide treatment interventions as outlined in the resident's individualized OT plan of care. Assist in implementing therapeutic programs to improve ADLs, mobility, strength, coordination, and cognitive function. Document daily treatment notes, progress updates, and resident responses according to facility and regulatory standards. Collaborate with the occupational therapist, therapy staff, nursing team, and other interdisciplinary members to support resident goals. Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, safety techniques, and functional strategies. Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and professional standards. Qualifications Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of California. Graduate of an accredited COTA program. Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills. Prior SNF experience preferred but new grads are welcome to apply!
