Occupational Therapy Assistant

  • PRN, Per diem Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our senior living community on a per diem basis.
In this vital role, you will support residents' independence and well-being by assisting with their daily activities and therapy plans. Your expertise will help enhance quality of life through personalized care, fostering a safe and engaging environment. This position offers flexible scheduling, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while maintaining work-life balance. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Implement individualized care plans developed by licensed occupational therapists to promote functional independence Support therapy sessions by preparing equipment, facilitating exercises, and monitoring resident progress Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive resident care and safety in both senior living Maintain accurate documentation of resident activities, progress notes, and therapy outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations Help create a welcoming environment by engaging residents in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical well-being Experience Active California OTA license Strong understanding of geriatric rehabilitation and functional mobility training Ability to work independently in a facility-based outpatient setting Additional Information Per diem / flexible schedule
