Job Description
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant -Outpatient & Inpatient | The Springs at St. Andrews Village - Aurora, CO About the Role This PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) role is ideal for clinicians seeking flexible scheduling while remaining an integrated, respected member of a collaborative outpatient therapy team . Our PRN COTAs are valued contributors—not just coverage—and are supported by engaged on‑site Occupational Therapists and facility leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide skilled, medically necessary occupational therapy interventions to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of an Occupational Therapist Utilize evidence‑based practice to support clinical treatment interventions ADL retraining Therapeutic activities and exercises Modalities Use of adaptive, assistive, and supportive devices Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress, barriers, and outcomes to the supervising Occupational Therapist Document treatment sessions, progress, and required clinical information accurately in the electronic medical record Accurately record treatment minutes in compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements Provide patient and caregiver education consistent with the plan of care Contribute input to discharge planning and summaries as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist Participate in interdisciplinary communication to support continuity of care Attend required meetings, trainings, and in‑services relevant to scheduled PRN hours , with flexibility whenever possible Collaborate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to obtain necessary DME or supplies Support OTA students as assigned, under the guidance of an Occupational Therapist Adhere to NBCOT, AOTA, state practice acts, and company policies, including ethics and compliance standards Qualifications Active Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of Colorado Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program What You Can Expect Team Culture & Support In‑house therapy team —no contract therapy On‑site Occupational Therapists and leadership who actively support COTAs Strong interdisciplinary collaboration across therapy, nursing, and facility teams PRN staff are included in communication, teamwork, and clinical coordination Professional Environment Outpatient setting with a diverse patient population Established clinical systems and specialty programs to support quality care A respectful, team‑oriented culture where every role is valued Compensation & Benefits Competitive PRN pay rates based on experience and qualifications Flexible scheduling without long‑term minimum hour commitments Opportunities to increase hours based on interest and facility needs For team members who move into eligible roles , full‑time benefits are earned at 32 hours per week , including: 10 vacation days 6 paid holidays Sick time accrual beginning on date of hire Daily Pay / Wisely Pay Employee Emergency Fund Tuition reimbursement & Elevate Scholarship Program Wellness programs, fitness discounts, and Employee Assistance Program Childcare benefits, discount programs, and additional financial perks Why Join Us Every facility has its own in‑house therapy team Each location is independently operated with local leadership and minimal corporate red tape Decisions are made at the facility level to best serve staff and community needs Our culture is guided by ourCAPLICO Core Values :
