Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Start your next assignment as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic school-based setting supporting students across the district, from Pre-K through 12th grade. This contract opportunity begins August 27, 2026, covering an FMLA leave for approximately 12 weeks, with the potential for extension. Enjoy a varied and rewarding role, working within a collaborative educational environment. Qualifications & Experience Active COTA license (meeting CT DPH requirements and passed the NBCOT Exam) Previous school-based experience preferred Comfortable working with a diverse student population ranging from early childhood to high school Reliable transportation to travel between sites across the district Key Responsibilities Implement occupational therapy interventions as directed by an Occupational Therapist Support student goals and help adapt materials/activities for diverse learning and developmental needs Monitor and document students' progress in accordance with district policy Foster communication and collaboration with teachers, staff, and families Provide services in a district-wide capacity, traveling between multiple school campuses as required Position Details Full-time, contract position (approx. 7-7.5 hours per day; schedule to be confirmed by the district) District-wide coverage, engaging with students Pre-K-12 First day on assignment: August 27, 2026 Virtual interview format for added convenience This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated COTA who is passionate about supporting students' growth and functional independence within the school environment.
