School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Torrington, Connecticut BlazerJobs - 3.4 Torrington, CT Job Details Full-time | Contract $25.62 - $43.23 an hour 10 hours ago Qualifications Occupational Therapy Assistant License COTA Full Job Description Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding school-based role supporting students from Pre-K through 12th grade as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in a vibrant educational community. In this contract position, you'll help bridge an important gap, providing coverage district-wide while an FMLA leave is covered, with the possibility of an extension. You'll collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals and make a direct impact on student success, helping implement individualized treatment plans, tracking and reporting progress, and adapting interventions that address a variety of needs and age groups. This full-time position follows the regular school day schedule (approximately 7-7.5 hours daily, pending final confirmation), beginning August 27, 2026, for around 12 weeks.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
Active COTA license/certification (CT DPH License and exam passage required) Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred Ability to work effectively with students spanning Pre-K to 12th grade Familiarity with diverse disability populations a plus Reliable transportation is essential for district-wide assignments Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
