Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), where you will play a vital role in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will work closely with licensed occupational therapists to implement personalized care plans across various settings, including inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Your expertise in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute care will be essential in delivering exceptional patient care. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and well-being Implement individualized care plans developed by occupational therapists, ensuring adherence to medical and safety protocols Support therapy sessions in diverse settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health visits Help evaluate patient progress by documenting responses to therapy interventions and communicating updates to the healthcare team Educate patients and their families on exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety measures to enhance recovery at home or in clinical environments Maintain accurate medical records, treatment logs, and documentation related to patient care activities Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care that addresses physical, cognitive, and emotional needs Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practices Experience assisting with ADLs across various populations including geriatrics and pediatrics Familiarity with home health care, outpatient therapy settings, inpatient hospital environments, and skilled nursing facilities Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual patient needs Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward diverse patient populations Skilled in applying occupational health principles within clinical or outpatient settings Effective communication skills for working with patients, families, and healthcare professionals Join us in delivering impactful therapy services that foster recovery and independence!
