Empower Patients:
Help implement individualized therapy programs designed to improve daily living skills, mobility, and overall functionality, supporting patients to regain independence. Make a Tangible Difference:
Work closely with the Occupational Therapist to deliver life-changing interventions, from strength-building exercises to cognitive exercises and adaptive equipment training. Track Progress:
Monitor patient outcomes, documenting progress, and offering feedback that helps refine treatment plans for optimal results. Motivate & Inspire:
Be a source of encouragement for patients as you guide them through therapy with positivity, empathy, and professionalism. Your support will empower them to achieve their goals. Collaborate & Innovate:
Join forces with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care and tailor interventions that meet each patient's unique needs. Educate Families:
Provide patients and their families with essential knowledge about therapy techniques, adaptive tools, and strategies to carry over treatment goals into everyday life. Foster a Healing Environment:
Maintain a clean, safe, and inspiring therapy space, ensuring all equipment is in top shape for patient use. Qualifications:
Certification:
Active and current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) by the state of Florida. Education:
Associate s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Experience:
While prior experience in healthcare or rehabilitation is a plus, we're excited to mentor and support new team members who are eager to grow! Skills:
Strong communication skills and a passion for building relationships with patients, families, and team members. A deep understanding of therapeutic interventions, including ADLs, motor skills, coordination, and cognitive exercises. Ability to motivate and inspire patients to reach their full potential with a positive, results-driven approach.
