Position Summary As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA), you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative services that help residents regain independence and improve their quality of life. You'll be part of a supportive, interdisciplinary team dedicated to excellent patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist. Assist residents in improving functional activities such as dressing, grooming, and mobility. Observe and document patient progress and report changes to the Occupational Therapist. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques. Ensure all care is provided in compliance with state, federal, and facility guidelines. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records. Qualifications Valid Florida COTA license (or eligible to obtain). Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience in a rehab or skilled nursing facility is a plus but not required.
