Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract An Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position is available in a school setting located in Lehigh Acres, FL. This contract role focuses on supporting students' educational and developmental goals through the implementation of occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in delivering therapeutic activities and interventions tailored to individual student needs. Monitor and document student progress, collaborating closely with the OT to modify treatment plans accordingly. Work in partnership with teachers, administrators, and parents to provide comprehensive support. Maintain thorough and accurate records in compliance with state and district regulations. Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices in occupational therapy.
Qualifications and Experience:
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program. Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Minimum of one year of recent experience, preferably in a school or pediatric setting. Ability to pass a comprehensive background check. Commitment to continuing education and professional development as mandated.
