Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting K-12 students in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This role provides direct therapeutic services within a school setting, offering the chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of children and teens across a variety of educational sites. As a valued COTA, you will work alongside skilled professionals, traveling between multiple schools throughout Hendry County. Assignments are designed to offer engaging, varied experiences throughout the academic year. A genuine interest in school-based therapy and the flexibility to work across diverse locations are essential. What you'll need to succeed: Possession of an active Florida COTA license Prior experience in a school setting preferred Willingness and ability to travel across Hendry County to multiple K-12 school sites Strong communication skills for effective teamwork with educators, therapists, and families Adaptability and enthusiasm to serve the needs of different age groups and learning environments Key responsibilities: Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions to K-12 students with various needs Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support students educational goals Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized treatment plans Document progress and maintain accurate records according to district and professional guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and convey progress updates to education teams and families Travel to multiple school campuses as assigned throughout the school year Step into a role where every day brings new opportunities to support students growth, independence, and success.
