Full Job Description Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant Job Summary:
The North Dade Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in North Miami, Florida is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our interdisciplinary team. As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant , you will play a vital role in helping patients recover and regain independence in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist Occupational Therapists in the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with a wide range of physical, cognitive, and emotional needs Conduct assessments, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve specific goals and outcomes Use a variety of therapeutic techniques and equipment to promote patient wellness, mobility, and independence Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment strategies that address patients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs Provide education, training, and support to patients, families, and caregivers to promote sustainable independence and safety
Requirements:
Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Florida Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) or related field Minimum of 0 years of experience in an acute care or rehab setting Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients with mobility impairments Strong communication and interpersonal skills Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential patient information How to
