Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Occupational Therapist or COTA to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient-centered care, with expertise in assessing and improving functional abilities across diverse populations. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in facilitating independence and enhancing quality of life for individuals of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, within the clinical setting. Your work will involve developing personalized care plans, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and supporting patients and their caregivers. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional capabilities to identify their needs and goals. Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic activities aimed at improving daily living skills and functional independence. Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote self-sufficiency. Work with diverse populations such as children and adults with autism or developmental delays, Cerebral palsy, Sensory deficits and more. Collaborate closely with speech therapists, physical therapists and caregivers to ensure holistic patient care. Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment outcomes, and care plans in compliance with healthcare regulations. Participate in case management activities to monitor patient progress and adjust therapy strategies accordingly. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practice. Expertise working with people with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, pediatric populations and adults. Familiarity with early intervention programs and occupational health environments. Proven ability to develop effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs while ensuring safety and compliance standards are met. Excellent communication skills for engaging patients of all ages as well as collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families. Case management experience to coordinate ongoing therapy services and community resources. A positive attitude, fun and creative presentation. Team player!
Pay:
$25.00 - $53.00 per hour
