Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing the quality of life for individuals across various settings, including acute care, outpatient facilities, and home health environments. Responsibilities Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist. Conduct therapeutic activities that promote patient independence and functional mobility. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Educate patients and their families about therapy techniques and home exercises. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to inform treatment approaches. Provide support in various settings including pediatrics, geriatrics, acute care, outpatient services, and occupational health. Requirements Must hold a valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques is preferred but not required. Familiarity with various patient populations including pediatrics and geriatrics is a plus. Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology as it relates to occupational therapy practices. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to demonstrate compassion and patience while working with diverse patient needs. Previous experience in home health or acute care settings is advantageous but not mandatory. Commitment to ongoing professional development in occupational therapy practices. Pay:
$36.38 - $38.13 per hour
