Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (2026-2027 school year) Soliant•3.9 Glendale Heights, IL Job Details Full-time | Contract $30•$40 an hour 17 hours ago Qualifications Associate's degree in occupational therapy COTA Associate's degree Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time contract position for the upcoming school year. This role serves students from PreK through 8th grade. You will work closely with a supervising therapist to provide vital interventions that support student independence and academic success.
Special Opportunity:
We are also seeking a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) for this district. Dynamic duos or therapy partners who wish to serve together are highly encouraged to apply!
Position Details Status:
Full-Time (35-40 hours per week)
Schedule:
Monday•Friday, 8:30 AM•3:40
PM Contract Dates:
Full School Year (August 18, 2026•June 4, 2027)
Caseload:
PreK-8th Grade (Specific school building assignments and caseload sizes are currently being finalized) Key Responsibilities Implement individualized therapy interventions based on established IEP goals for PreK-8 students. Provide direct therapy to improve fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills. Document student progress accurately and collaborate daily with your supervising OTR/L. Adapt classroom activities and materials to maximize student participation and accessibility. Consult and collaborate regularly with PreK-8 teachers, school staff, and parents. Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Active Illinois state license/certification to practice as a COTA National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) COTA certification Previous experience in a pediatric or school-based environment is highly preferred Strong team-player attitude, especially when partnering with a supervising OTR/L.
