Job Description

Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into an engaging contract opportunity working with students during the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time role involves providing support as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) within a school-based setting near North Adams, MA. The primary caseload focuses on elementary students, with some possibility of working with middle and high schoolers depending on student needs and scheduling.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, active and in good standing Prior school-based experience preferred, but new graduates passionate about working with children will be considered Strong communication skills to collaborate with OT supervisors, educators, and families Comfortable working both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team Ability to adapt to changing assignments, schedules, and student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy sessions to support students' IEP goals under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist Assist with implementing therapeutic activities that enhance fine motor skills, sensory integration, and functional independence Document student progress and maintain accurate records according to school and regulatory requirements Support classroom staff in the use of adaptive equipment and strategies to foster student participation Contribute observations during team meetings and assist with data collection and assessments as requested In this full-time contract role, you'll enjoy the rewarding challenge of helping students access their education and develop essential life skills.
