Job Description

Travel Occupational Therapy Assistant We're looking for Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) for an immediate travel opening in Forestville, MD.The right OTA should have 1 year of experience. Read below for more requirements.

As a OTA, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT) to help patients of all ages develop, improve, or recover the skills needed for daily living and working. You will assist in implementing treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals and functional abilities.

As an OTA, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
  • Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
  • Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
  • Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
  • Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
  • Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
  • Comply with state licensing rules and ad to facility and professional standards.
Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. The ideal candidate must hold a current BLS and COTA National certification. State-specific licensure is required.

OTAs should be able to lift and assist patients safely, demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and possess a solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles. Requirements
