Occupational Therapist:

Evaluate and provide individual and group therapy as well as classroom integrative services Work closely with the educational team to provide comprehensive services to students on their caseload Prepare accurate and timely documentation and report progress of students Participate in school and departmental staff meetings Responsibilities of the

COTA:

Assist with and contribute to the diagnostic and rehabilitative services provided by the school Occupational Therapy department In collaboration with and under the supervision of an OTR/L, provide quality direct patient care, including evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, and follow-up of occupational therapy, according to accepted standards of practice. Associate's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited educational program Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and eligibility for a Maryland licensure must be established prior to employment Two to three years of pediatric experience and at least 1 year of school experience is preferred Must maintain current licensure and certification status consistent with state and professional standards
