Job Title:
Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with pediatric occupational therapists to provide exceptional care to children with developmental challenges. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the implementation of therapy plans, engaging children in therapeutic activities, and documenting progress.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist with preparing therapy room and administrative tasks. 2. Implement therapy interventions and activities under the supervision of licensed therapists. 3. Engage children in therapeutic exercises and activities to improve motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills. 4. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports. 5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, teachers, and parents to ensure coordinated care and support for children. 6. Stay updated on best practices and advancements in pediatric occupational therapy. 7. Maintain a safe and supportive environment for children during therapy sessions.
Requirements:
1. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. 2. Enthusiasm and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs. 3. Adaptability to work in various settings, including clinics, schools, and homes. 4. Excellent knowledge of pediatric care, developmental milestones, and therapeutic strategies. 5. Effective communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with children, parents, and colleagues. 6. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. 7. Commitment to maintaining professional ethics and standards in all aspects of work.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Previous experience working as a pediatric occupational therapy assistant. 2. Additional certifications or training in areas such as sensory integration or feeding therapy. 3. Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment for children with disabilities.
