Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into an engaging contract opportunity working as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) dedicated to supporting K-12 students. This full-time role is based near Canton, MI, and will run from August through December with the potential to extend into the spring semester. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to help students from elementary through high school optimize their function and participation in the school environment.

Desired Qualifications:

Current COTA license in Michigan Experience in school-based or healthcare settings with youth populations Familiarity with IEP process and implementation Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to adapt interventions for a diverse, multi-age caseload

Primary Responsibilities:

Support implementation of occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising OT Work closely with students to address fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills essential for classroom success Participate in the assessment process and assist with documentation Communicate progress with teachers, families, and other school staff Contribute to IEP meetings and help develop age-appropriate goals and strategies Assist with planning and adapting learning environments to facilitate student engagement This position offers a unique chance to make a difference in students' daily lives while gaining experience across all grade levels.
