You will manage your own territory, build strong relationships with patients, and focus on meaningful functional outcomes instead of rushed treatments. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in home care, you will help patients improve daily living skills, increase safety in the home, and maintain independence through hands-on therapy and functional training. You will work directly from the treatment plan developed by the Occupational Therapist while providing valuable feedback and progress updates. Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant | COTA Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy treatments in patient homes under the direction of the OTR/L. Assist patients with activities of daily living and functional mobility. Implement individualized therapy care plans. Reinforce adaptive equipment use and home safety techniques. Document visits accurately in EMR. Communicate patient progress with supervising therapist. Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare team members. Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant | COTA Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Active Minnesota COTA license. Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle. Comfortable working independently in the field. Strong communication and patient engagement skills.
