Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing skilled occupational therapy support in an educational setting. This full-time assignment, located near Ashland, MS, extends across the entire school year, offering you the chance to make a meaningful impact in students' lives. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will collaborate with fellow professionals to nurture student growth, independence, and participation in school activities.
Desired Qualities and Experience:
Valid COTA certification and state licensure Prior experience in a school setting preferred Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, students, and families Ability to assist with developing and implementing therapy plans Organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently Commitment to fostering an inclusive and encouraging learning environment
Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) and therapy interventions Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support the diverse needs of students Monitor student progress and document therapy sessions comprehensively Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and help plan strategies for student success Offer modifications and recommendations to promote student participation in classrooms and school activities
