Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling role supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the upcoming full school year. This full-time, contract opportunity is perfect for someone passionate about helping children achieve their best both in and out of the classroom environment. As a COTA, you'll collaborate closely with occupational therapists and educational teams to deliver hands-on services and interventions tailored to each student's needs. Your expertise in school-based occupational therapy will directly impact students' academic success, independence, and overall well-being.
What We're Looking For:
Valid COTA certification and current licensure in the state. Prior experience working in a school or pediatric setting is highly preferred. Strong understanding of IEP processes and ability to document progress accurately. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Capacity to adapt quickly in a dynamic classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students individually and in groups, following the occupational therapist's plans. Assist in developing and implementing treatment goals. Maintain detailed records and contribute to progress reports as required. Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to foster student success. Participate in team meetings and offer insight regarding student progress and ongoing needs.
