Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into an exciting full-time opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting students throughout the entire school year. This contract position offers the chance to make a measurable difference in the lives of children in an engaging and collaborative educational environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current certification as a COTA Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations Familiarity with the school setting and IEP process is highly valued Ability to collaborate effectively with occupational therapists, teachers, and other specialists Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Dedication to fostering student independence and success
Key Responsibilities:
Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized student treatment plans within the school environment Work directly with students to support development in self-care, motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive behaviors Monitor and document student progress; provide observations and feedback to the IEP team Collaborate with educators and parents to integrate therapy goals into the classroom and daily activities Prepare and organize therapeutic materials for activities and interventions Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing student support strategies
