Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed occupational therapists to deliver high-quality habilitative and rehabilitative services across various settings, including our beautiful office in downtown Rock Hill, throughout our community, and in natural care environments such as schools and homes, as indicated by the treatment plan. Your expertise will help families with children aged 0-18 gain the skills needed to promote independence and improve their quality of life through personalized therapy interventions tailored to the family's individual needs. Responsibilities Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility exercises, to promote independence. Provide therapy services in diverse settings including the clinic, community settings, home, and schools. Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment accurately in medical records. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and strategies to enhance recovery at home, in the community and in outpatient settings. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and optimal outcomes. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to all safety protocols and infection control procedures. Participate in all team-led activities, programming, and initiatives Qualifications Current certification and license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) from an accredited program. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and occupational health principles relevant to therapy practice. Experience working with diverse populations Familiarity with home health care, outpatient clinics, inpatient hospital settings, and medical imaging environments is preferred. Strong patient care skills with the ability to assist with all client activities effectively across various clinical scenarios, including playgrounds, public transit and community integration activities, and amongst varied familial and cultural dynamics. Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and clinical team members. Prior experience working in inpatient and outpatient settings is highly desirable. Excellent attention to personal development; soft skills required include (but not limited to): Active Listening, Introspection, Teamwork and Collaboration, Problem-solving and Critical Thinking, Adaptability and Flexibility, Emotional Intelligence, Work Ethic and Professionalism.

$38.00 - $48.50 per hour
