Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) -Full-Tme Mill Creek Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation Are you a compassionate and licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant ready to make a meaningful impact? Mill Creek is seeking a COTA to join our rehab team and support residents on their journey to independence and improved quality of life. PRN opportunities are also available for those looking for more flexible scheduling!
Position Summary:
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you'll work closely under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to help implement care plans, guide residents through therapeutic activities, and promote recovery and mobility in a supportive long-term care setting.
Responsibilities:
Deliver care and exercises based on treatment plans created by the OT Assist residents with activities that support daily living and independence Accurately document therapy sessions and track patient progress Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and family members to support care goals Educate residents, families, and staff on at-home and restorative programs Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement programs Float to nearby facilities if needed based on patient needs
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Current state license/registration as a COTA Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is a plus Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient movement Strong communication and time management skills Why Join Mill Creek?
