About the
Role:
As an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA), you will play a vital role in supporting occupational therapists to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. Your work will directly impact individuals facing physical, developmental, or emotional challenges by assisting in the implementation of therapeutic activities and exercises. You will collaborate closely with occupational therapists to monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans accordingly. This role requires compassionate interaction with patients of diverse backgrounds and ages, ensuring a supportive and motivating environment. Ultimately, your contribution will enhance patients' independence and quality of life through dedicated therapeutic support.
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.

Current and valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in Nebraska.
American Heart Association BLS CertificationResponsibilities:
Assist occupational therapists in delivering treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities designed to improve motor skills, coordination, and cognitive function.

Monitor and document patient progress, reporting observations and any concerns to the supervising occupational therapist.

Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas to ensure a safe and effective environment.

Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies to support recovery outside of clinical settings.

A conditional job offer is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug test and background checks. A Physical Capacity Profile may be required for some positions.
