Join our team as a Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to help every child reach their full potential . Our team-based approach empowers clinicians to grow while supporting children and families across clinic, school, and community settings. In this role, you will collaborate with Occupational Therapists to implement individualized treatment plans designed to promote independence, enhance developmental skills, and support participation in meaningful daily activities. Your passion for pediatric care and commitment to improving patient outcomes will drive positive change across diverse settings, including our state-of-the-art sensory gyms/clinics, schools, and community-based environments. This is an exciting opportunity for a new or recent graduate to support the growth and success of neurodiverse children and families within a dedicated interdisciplinary team of OT, Speech-Language Pathologists and ABA Therapists. Duties Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Provide therapeutic interventions focused on improving fine motor skills, sensory processing and integration, self-care skills, social participation, and activities of daily living (ADLs). Assist children with disabilities and developmental challenges in developing essential skills needed for home, school, and community participation. Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and interdisciplinary team members, including speech-language pathologists and applied behavior analysts, to support coordinated, collaborative care. Educate and support families regarding home programs, adaptive strategies, and therapeutic activities as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist. Document treatment sessions, patient progress, and related clinical information in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements. Assist with treatment preparation, adaptive equipment implementation, and maintenance of therapy environments. Participate in team meetings, treatment planning discussions, and ongoing professional development activities. Sensory Kids & Social Minds, LLC is seeking a full-time, entry-level Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for Fall 2026 hire (or sooner for the right candidate). Our clinic provides collaborative, relationship-based pediatric services across clinic, sensory gym, community, and school-based settings. In addition to our outpatient work, we maintain several partnerships with local charter schools, allowing clinicians to gain experience across a variety of therapeutic environments. Full-time employment will include both school-based and clinic-based treatment services, parent collaboration, and interdisciplinary treatment implementation. We are seeking a clinician with warmth, curiosity, flexibility, and a strong desire to learn within a highly collaborative and mentorship-oriented environment. Positive energy, professionalism, and a "can-do" attitude are essential. Salary is commensurate with experience. Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge Requirements Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Valid and current New Jersey Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license NBCOT certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Basic knowledge and competent performance of foundational occupational therapy assistant practices, including treatment implementation, documentation, therapeutic activities, and client-centered interventions as acquired through academic training and fieldwork experience. Ability and willingness to learn and implement clinic policies, procedures, and treatment philosophies within a structured onboarding and mentorship process. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including clinical documentation, professional correspondence, family education, and collaboration with colleagues and community professionals. Ability to work collaboratively within a inter-disciplinary team, including OTs, SLPs, ABA providers, psychologists, educators, and families in a manner that reflects our mission of holistic, family-centered care. Ability to interact respectfully and effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Ability to work independently within the scope of COTA practice while seeking guidance, supervision, and feedback from supervising Occupational Therapists as appropriate. Strong professional judgment, ethical decision-making, confidentiality, and discretion at all times. Demonstrated openness to mentorship, supervision, and professional growth, with the ability to integrate feedback into clinical practice. This position requires a 2-year commitment to support professional development and continuity of care for our clients and families. Entry-level COTAs will receive structured mentorship, supervision, and support designed to promote confidence, clinical skill development, and growth within pediatric practice.

$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
