UMC is currently seeking an COTA for our Bristol Glen Senior Care Community located in Newton, NJ. Bristol Glen, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), is thoughtfully designed to provide person directed care in a home-like environment to ensure exceptional care and quality of life for our residents. Requirements for a
COTA:
Graduate of an accredited therapy program. 1-2 years of related experience Current Occupational Therapy Assistant state license Responsibilities for a
COTA:
Works under direction of occupational therapists to plan, implement, or administer programs that restore or enhance performance in individuals with functional impairments. Monitors client's performance in therapy activities and provides encouragement. Assists in instructing clients and families in home programs, basic living skills, or the care and use of adaptive equipment. Observes and records clients' progress, attitudes, and behavior and maintains this information in the client's records. Assists occupational therapists with implementing treatment plans. Report to supervisors on patients' progress, attitudes, and behavior. Complies with professional, ethical and legal standards.
