Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a school-based setting near Alto, NM. This position is ideal for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who thrives in collaborative environments, is passionate about fostering student development, and desires a role focused on meaningful impact. You'll work closely with a licensed Occupational Therapist, educators, and families to help students reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) National certification (NBCOT) Minimum one year of recent experience, preferably in a school or pediatric setting Ability to pass a comprehensive background check Commitment to ongoing professional development and completion of continuing education credits as required
Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services as directed by a licensed OT, utilizing therapeutic interventions to promote students' success Monitor, document, and report on student progress, adapting interventions through team collaboration Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to support the implementation of treatment plans and educational goals Maintain accurate, compliant records in accordance with state and district policies Engage in professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in school-based therapy
