Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic and rewarding role providing vital occupational therapy services as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) within school settings. This contract opportunity begins August 3, 2026, and extends through May 28, 2027, offering full-time hours each week with a consistent Monday to Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Engage with diverse student populations in both high school (grades 10-12) and elementary (PreK-6th grade), supporting their educational and developmental goals in an inclusive, collaborative environment.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license Experience providing therapy in school or pediatric healthcare settings Ability to adapt to working across different school environments Strong collaboration skills for effective teamwork with educators, therapists, and families Excellent communication and organizational abilities Knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and related documentation
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs Support students' development of functional skills for classroom participation Document and track student progress, maintaining up-to-date records Collaborate with occupational therapists, teaching staff, and parents to ensure consistent support and progress toward goals Assist in developing and implementing therapy activities suitable for high school and elementary populations Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations pertaining to school-based therapy This position invites you to make a meaningful impact by enhancing students' participation and success in their academic settings.
