Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students' occupational needs in a contract position as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic school environment near Hudson, NY. This role offers you the chance to work collaboratively with educators, therapists, and families to empower students toward greater independence and success in their daily routines.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid COTA certification and current state licensure Experience in a school-based setting preferred, but passionate new graduates will be considered Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy practices Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and document student progress Adapt activities and modify environments to support student participation in classroom tasks Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to deliver integrated support Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings as needed
