Job Description

Job Description We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to serve as a Supervisor of Occupational Therapy for pediatric services across Early Intervention and school-age programs on Long Island. This position includes a combination of administrative responsibilities, supervision of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, and direct service provision to children in home, school, and community-based settings. The Supervisor of Occupational Therapy will support children with developmental delays, sensory processing needs, fine motor and visual-motor deficits, self-care delays, and functional participation challenges. This role requires strong clinical judgment, leadership skills, and the ability to support high-quality service delivery across multiple environments. The Supervisor of Occupational Therapy will collaborate with families, COTAs, educators, service coordinators, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure services are individualized, consistent, compliant, and aligned with each child's treatment plan and functional needs.
Responsibilities include:
Provide clinical supervision and support to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants providing pediatric OT services Review treatment plans, documentation, session notes, progress reports, and service delivery practices to ensure clinical quality and compliance Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for Early Intervention and school-age students Provide direct occupational therapy services in home-based, school-based, and community settings as needed Address fine motor development, sensory processing, self-care skills, play skills, visual-motor integration, and functional participation Support COTAs in implementing treatment plans, selecting appropriate interventions, and modifying strategies based on student progress Provide ongoing consultation, coaching, and feedback to COTAs to promote effective and ethical service delivery Collaborate with families, teachers, service coordinators, school staff, and related service providers to support carryover of skills across settings Assist with administrative duties related to scheduling, caseload oversight, documentation compliance, staff support, and program development Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and interdisciplinary collaboration as appropriate Provide caregiver and school staff training, recommendations, and strategies to support student progress Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with New York State regulations, AOTA guidelines, and agency policies Ensure services are delivered in a professional, family-centered, and developmentally appropriate manner Benefits Benefits Flexible schedule Ongoing clinical support Opportunities for advancement Roth IRA Paid sick time and more!

$60-$75 per hour (based on experience, setting, and certifications)
