Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide occupational therapy services to our residents. The OTA will assist with the design and implementation of individualized treatment plans, conduct assessments and evaluations, and provide hands-on therapy sessions to achieve optimal functional outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans to meet the needs of our residents Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify resident needs and goals Provide hands-on therapy sessions to improve resident function, mobility, and overall well-being Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident progress and treatment plans Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support Participate in peer review and staff development activities to enhance professional growth and development
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program and certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Possess a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals Excellent communication and documentation skills Ability to lift and move residents, as needed
