Skilled Nursing Facility Position Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house therapy team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, a strong communicator, and committed to helping residents regain independence and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Occupational Therapist in providing high-quality occupational therapy services to residents. Carry out treatment plans designed to help residents develop or regain daily living and work skills. Document resident progress, responses, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care. Educate residents and families on treatment plans and progress. Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment.
Qualifications:
Current State COTA License (or eligible) Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program CPR certification (preferred) Prior experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting is a plus Strong interpersonal and communication skills Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
