Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - PRN JAG Healthcare Union City is currently seeking a compassionate, motivated, and team-oriented Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. JAG Healthcare Union City is a 43-bed skilled nursing facility specializing in the care of residents with cognitive deficit disorders with a special attention to those with Geri-Psych and Memory Care needs . Who This Position Is Great For This position is ideal for a therapist who enjoys building relationships, celebrating resident progress, and working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team. Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Assist the supervising therapist with screenings, evaluations, re-evaluations, discharge planning, and therapeutic interventions in accordance with physician orders Carry out established treatment plans designed to improve resident function, mobility, safety, and independence Provide therapeutic treatments and activities under the direction of the supervising therapist Document resident progress, treatment outcomes, and observations accurately and timely Communicate effectively with residents, families, therapists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members Monitor resident response to treatment and report changes in condition or progress to the supervising therapist Assist with discharge recommendations and continuity of care planning Maintain compliance with all federal, state, facility, and professional practice standards Support a positive rehabilitation experience that encourages resident participation and goal achievement Skills & Qualifications Current Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required Current NBCOT certification, if required by state regulations Active Ohio license in good standing Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or behavioral health settings preferred but not required Why Join JAG Healthcare?
