Job Description
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - Cushing, OK
- Join the Linwood Village Nursing Team!
- As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Linwood Village Nursing, you will play a vital role in helping our residents achieve their maximum level of independence and well-being. Our Cushing, OK facility is dedicated to providing high-quality care and services to our patients, and we are seeking a compassionate and skilled COTA to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of our residents
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify areas of strength and weakness, and develop strategies to improve function and independence
- Use a variety of treatments and interventions, including adaptive equipment, cognitive therapy, and sensory integration techniques
- Collaborate with the therapy team to identify and address barriers to care, and develop plans to overcome them
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of treatment sessions, progress, and outcome measures
Requirements:
- Current Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a COTA in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting
