We are currently seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to support students in a school-based setting throughout Oklahoma, with occasional minimal home health visits as needed. This position provides the opportunity to support student development, independence, and participation in the educational environment while working closely with a licensed Occupational Therapist and school-based team. New graduates are encouraged to apply! Position Summary As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help implement therapy services that support students in developing the functional skills needed for success in the school setting. You will play a key role in helping students participate in academic and daily school activities. This role is primarily school-based, with limited home health visits when necessary to ensure continuity of care. Responsibilities Assist in implementing occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist Provide direct support to students to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, self-care skills, and classroom participation Support students in achieving individualized educational and functional goals Observe, document, and report student performance and progress during therapy sessions Communicate regularly with the supervising Occupational Therapist regarding student progress and needs Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers to support student success Assist in preparing for and participating in IEP meetings as appropriate Support the use of adaptive equipment, tools, and classroom modifications as directed Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements Provide occasional minimal home health visits when required to support student needs Qualifications Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Current eligibility for Oklahoma OTA licensure or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date Certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) or eligibility as required School-based, pediatric, or related experience preferred but not required Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist Reliable transportation for occasional home visits New graduates are encouraged to apply Benefits Competitive compensation package Medical, dental, and vision insurance Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) Paid Time Off (PTO) Retirement plan options Continuing education and professional development opportunities Life insurance Short-term and long-term disability coverage Additional voluntary benefits Supportive team environment Realistic caseload expectations Opportunities for career growth and advancement Why Career Links?
