We' re currently seeking a Part-Time, in-person, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant ($38-42/hour) in a school setting to support students in transition ages with higher needs in the Tigard, OR area for the upcoming 26-27 school year for fall semester Why Join Us? Current State License Must have pediatric experience School-based experience preferredRole Overview:
As an OT, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, developing individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.Key Responsibilities:
Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans. Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals. Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs. Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications. Primarily consultative caseloads which means that this is not a setting where students are pulled out for therapy; rather the bulk of the work is push-in services in classrooms and consultation with teachers and case managersBenefits:
