Modern office setting Casual work attire Relaxed atmosphere On-the-job training This Job entails treating and documenting (daily) on children and or adults with disabilities. collaborating with other staff and communicating to parents what daily session was about and how their child responded to session. A quarterly report is due on each patient seen. Establishing a professional relationship with both family and staff. The job requires travel to the clients' home (optional) as well as treating in the clinic setting. Must have experience with working with adults and children or desire to learn. Below is the job description for your Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant position: Are you a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients? Restore Therapy Services is seeking a qualified individual to join our dynamic team and provide exceptional care to our patients. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with Restore Therapy Services, you will work alongside our team of experienced therapists to provide holistic care and support to patients of all ages. You will have the opportunity to utilize your knowledge and skills to assist patients in restoring their independence and improving their overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist
  • Implement treatment plans and interventions that align with the goals of the patient's individualized care plan
  • Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities to help patients improve their motor skills, strength, and coordination
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as dressing, grooming, and meal preparation, to promote independence and functional abilities
  • Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment to increase independence in daily activities
  • Monitor and track patient progress, document observations and progress notes in patient charts
  • Collaborate with the occupational therapist to continuously reassess and modify treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes
Qualifications:
  • Must be a certified occupational therapy assistant with a valid state license
  • Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a clinical setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy for individuals with physical and cognitive limitations
