Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), where you will play a key role in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. In this rewarding position, you will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to implement personalized treatment plans across a variety of clinical settings. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients of all ages by promoting functional skills needed for daily living in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Duties Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans to improve patients' motor, cognitive, and functional abilities. Facilitate therapeutic activities focused on activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, feeding, and mobility. Use therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment to enhance patient independence. Monitor patient progress, document treatment outcomes, and report changes to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and families on exercises, home modifications, and strategies to improve daily functioning. Support discharge planning by preparing patients to safely transition back to their daily routines. Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care for diverse populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and rehabilitation patients. Qualifications Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) with current state licensure as required. Experience in healthcare settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, or home health. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and occupational therapy principles. Skilled in using therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment. Ability to document patient progress and adjust interventions under supervision. Excellent communication skills for patient education and teamwork. Ability to adapt to the needs of diverse patient populations.
