Job Description

Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) - Join Our Team! Are you a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant dedicated to helping seniors regain their independence? We are looking for a motivated professional to join our rehabilitation team. Our mission is to provide high-quality care that empowers our residents to achieve their maximum functional potential in a supportive, positive environment. Schedule Requirements Full-time Availability for at least every other weekend is required.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Excellence:
Deliver high-quality occupational therapy treatments under the direction of the Occupational Therapist (OT) according to established Plans of Care.
Caseload Management:
Collaborate with supervisors to manage individual and group treatment schedules while meeting facility efficiency standards.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain strict adherence to PPS guidelines, state licensure regulations, and professional ethical standards. Ensure all billing and treatment documentation is accurate and timely.
Education:
Instruct residents, families, and caregivers on home-exercise programs and safety procedures to ensure a successful transition during discharge.
Leadership:
Assists the OT in providing occupational therapy treatments to residents as determined by the Plan of Care, as directed by the
OT Safety & Environment:
Ensure therapy equipment and treatment areas remain sanitary, orderly, and hazard-free. Resident Rights & Advocacy Uphold the Residents' Bill of Rights , ensuring total confidentiality, privacy, and dignity. Foster an atmosphere of kindness and respect, reporting any grievances or concerns to the administration immediately.
Qualifications Education:
Graduate of an AOTA-accredited OTA program.
Licensure:
Current or eligible for licensure as an OTA in the state of practice.
Experience:
Prior experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facilities is preferred.
Growth Mindset:
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with creative trends in OT treatment.
Physical Requirements Strength:
Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds (Medium Work classification).
Stamina:
Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
Coordination:
Strong fine motor skills and manual dexterity to perform clinical tasks.
Senses:
