Beaumont Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at Harmony Care at Beaumont. As a COTA, you will provide direct patient care services under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT). Your primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and ensuring that all treatment is delivered in accordance with established plans of care.
COTA Duties/Responsibilities:
Plan and administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing. Provide skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to Occupational Therapist. Ensure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care. Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers. Monitor patient response to treatment intervention. Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations. Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.
COTA Skills:
SNF/Long-term care experience preferred. Current knowledge of treatment practices. Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred. Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.
Required Licensure:
Active/Valid Texas license as Occupational Therapy Assistant. Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
