Header Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Cypress! In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with licensed occupational therapists to deliver exceptional patient care in pediatrics. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference through compassionate, skilled support and innovative therapy interventions. Header Responsibilities Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing personalized care plans tailored to each client's needs. Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and functional tasks to promote independence and safety. Provide pediatric occupational therapy services for children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, or other neurodevelopmental conditions. Help facilitate treatment sessions focused on improving motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive functions. Document care activities accurately and thoroughly in compliance with healthcare regulations and care documentation standards. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals—including physicians, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and caregivers—to optimize treatment outcomes. Utilize your knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical imaging to support clinical decision-making. Contribute to client communication by explaining therapy processes clearly and compassionately to patients and their families. Requirements Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program. Previous experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, disabilities, or in pediatric occupational therapy is highly preferred. Experience working across various settings such as inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health is advantageous. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical imaging relevant to occupational therapy practices. Familiarity with treatment plan implementation and care documentation standards is essential. Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver interaction and client engagement. Ability to perform manual handling safely during patient transfers and mobility assistance while maintaining patient comfort. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal client outcomes.
