Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) - Full Time & PRN Dallas, TX | Lakewest Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing •Pay starts at $32 and increases based on experiene level. • Lakewest is seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our exceptional in-house rehab team in Dallas, Texas. We are committed to providing person-centered care that helps our residents achieve meaningful outcomes and improve quality of life. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced professionals and new graduates looking to grow in a supportive skilled nursing and long-term care environment. Position Summary Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the OTA will provide skilled occupational therapy services to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, works well within a multidisciplinary team, and is committed to delivering high-quality rehabilitation services. Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy treatments and interventions according to physician orders and established care plans Assist residents in improving mobility, strength, independence, and daily living skills Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and treatment goals Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with company policies and state/federal regulations Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient outcomes Participate in meetings and care planning as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation Ensure all treatments are delivered safely, effectively, and compassionately Qualifications Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred Knowledge of Net Health documentation system preferred Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills Ability to work effectively with residents of varying needs and personalities Why Join Lakewest?
