Occupational Therapy Assistant - COTA (PRN)

This role is designed for the clinician ready to advance their skillset under experienced leadership. We are seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support our clinical operations at Lexington Medical Lodge and Farmersville Health and Rehabilitation. Our therapy departments are led by seasoned OTRs who prioritize evidence-based practice and clinical autonomy. You will manage a diverse caseload that includes post-surgical recovery, neurological rehabilitation, and complex long-term care needs.

Pay, Schedule & Benefits Pay:

Starting at $38 per hour.

Schedule:

PRN. Qualifications Valid Texas COTA license. Current CPR certification. Skills Proficiency in EMR documentation and point-of-service charting. Ability to execute complex treatment plans with minimal supervision. Strong communication with the interdisciplinary team. Education & Experience Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or post-acute setting. Responsibilities Implement treatment interventions based on the OTR's evaluation. Focus on functional gain through ADL retraining and therapeutic exercise. Document patient progress daily to ensure regulatory compliance. Coordinate with physical and speech therapy to maintain a cohesive plan of care. Identify and report changes in patient status to the supervising therapist. Maintain organized therapy environments at both local facilities. Lexington is a 128-bed facility featuring a wellness-focused gym and high-acuity rehabilitation. Farmersville Health and Rehabilitation is a 74-bed community focused on long-term stability and personalized recovery. Both sites utilize the Rapid-Recovery Program, which emphasizes high-frequency therapy to facilitate safe discharges back to the community.
