Job Description

Occupational Therapy Assistant (DIRFloortime / Pediatric Focus) Sensationally Thriving Houston, Texas Part-Time, with Full-Time potential | In-Home / Community-Based Sensationally Thriving is a relationship-centered pediatric practice dedicated to helping neurodiverse children and their families build stronger connections, emotional regulation, and functional life skills. Our work integrates occupational therapy with the DIR®/Floortime developmental model , supporting children through connection, engagement, and play-based interaction. We are seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant with DIRFloortime experience who is passionate about working with neurodiverse children and supporting families in meaningful, relationship-based growth. This is an opportunity to join a growing practice where clinicians are supported, respected, and encouraged to bring their clinical insight, creativity, and developmental understanding to their work. Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy services to children in home and community settings Assist with evaluations and adjust treatment plans as the plan of care progresses Implement therapy using DIRFloortime and relationship-based developmental approaches Support development in areas such as sensory processing, emotional regulation, motor planning, executive functioning, and daily living skills Coach parents and caregivers in DIRFloortime strategies to extend progress beyond sessions Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment notes Participate in occasional case collaboration and professional development Support children and families in building confidence, connection, and independence Qualifications Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of Texas Training or demonstrated experience in DIRFloortime highly recommended (ICDL coursework or equivalent experience preferred) Experience working with neurodiverse children including autism, sensory processing differences, ADHD, or developmental delays Strong ability to build rapport with children and families Comfortable working independently in home or community settings Strong communication and coaching skills with parents Compassionate, patient, and committed to developmental relationship-based care What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Flexible scheduling Supportive and collaborative practice environment Opportunity to grow with an expanding pediatric practice Professional development and training opportunities, especially with DIRFloortime Meaningful work that creates lasting change for children and families About Sensationally Thriving Sensationally Thriving is dedicated to helping children reach their fullest potential through compassionate, individualized care.
