Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - PRN, where your expertise will directly impact patient recovery and well-being. In this role, you will collaborate with occupational therapists to deliver personalized therapy services across various settings, including inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Your energy and dedication will help patients of all ages regain independence through tailored interventions focused on improving daily functioning and quality of life. This flexible position offers the opportunity to work on an as-needed basis, making a meaningful difference whenever your skills are called upon. Duties Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, and mobility tasks, ensuring comfort and safety during therapy sessions Implement treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, adapting techniques to meet individual patient needs across diverse settings Support patient care in inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments by providing hands-on therapy assistance Monitor patient progress and document responses to interventions accurately within medical records and care plans Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes in geriatrics, pediatrics, or other specialized populations Maintain knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and occupational health principles to deliver effective therapy support Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety protocols during all patient interactions Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program Prior experience in skilled nursing facilities or outpatient clinics is preferred; experience in inpatient or home health settings is a plus Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and occupational health concepts Proven ability to assist with ADLs and support patient-centered care plans effectively Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and engage patients compassionately Ability to adapt quickly to different clinical environments such as acute care or pediatrics Knowledge of medical imaging or specialized therapies is advantageous but not required Embark on a rewarding journey where your skills help transform lives!
